Four new PhD students joining

There are four new PhD students joining at the beginning of the new academic year.

The first three of them are starting in October. Nicolas Klodt is an HPI student and is currently writing his master thesis on epidemic processes with the Algorithm Engineering group. Xiaoyue Sherry Li studied at the Xi'an Shiyou University in Xi'an, PR China, and the Technical University Chemnitz, majoring in the design and engineering of embedded systems. Janosch Ruff received his master's degree from the University of Göttingen where he worked on Kolmogorov complexity and universal probability. In November, the trio is joined by Leila Parsaei-Majd. She already received a PhD in Mathematics from the Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University in Tehran, Iran. Leila is researching signed graphs and intends to explore their applications to problems in computer science.
