We celebrate 25 years of Hasso Plattner Institute

The HPI is turning 25 years old - we want to celebrate this with you! In the coming months, we will not only review the successes of the past, but also take a look at the highlights of the institute's present and future.

"25 years of HPI - that's a quarter of a century of science and teaching for the digital future. We have been researching innovations and promoting talent. We are now facing a new era with the dynamic development of artificial intelligence applications. Technological progress is happening at an ever faster pace. That is why we continue to do everything we can to inspire young minds, drive research forward, and create innovations that will sustainably improve the world of tomorrow. We build on the fundamental skills that are so important right now: critical analysis, interdisciplinary thinking, and the creativity of everyone at HPI. Over 25 years, they have made HPI what it is today - and will always be: a campus that helps shape digital progress."

Our highlights from 25 years HPI

25 years ago, the first winter semester at the Hasso Plattner Institute officially began on October 1.1999. Following the motto Past, Present, Future, we are providing insights into the history and development of the IT institute, talking about careers and projects and introducing the people behind them on our social media channels LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram (#HPI25), in our HPI podcast "Neuland" and at our events throughout the summer semester.

We are particularly excited about our events in the context of 25 years of HPI: In May, Prof. Plattner bids farewell as lecturer at HPI, on July 19 we will celebrate a memorable summer party together in the spirit of 25 years and on October 17 we will give insights into the success stories of our alumni in a fireside chat.
